Abigail Mcmillan

Lecturer in Production

I work across education and industry in Scotland. A large part of my work for Scottish Drama Training Network as technical Theatre Skills Officer is signposting pathways into technical theatre.

I am a 3rd year MEd Learning and Teaching in the Performing Arts student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) My current research is into gender inequality, environmental impact, the use of technology and the gap in up take in the subject specialism of Set Construction in Scotland. I aim to design and develop bespoke sessions on pathways into this subject as a career choice.
I am a lecturer on the Production Junior Academy at the RCS and through learning and teaching my aim is to help the young people on this course to explore technical theatre and design. To have an open, inclusive, collaborative approach to working and to be artists in their own right.
